Day 1 - Chiang Mai to Pai

Your three-day Pai and Mae Hong tour will begin with pick up from your Chiang Mai hotel and departure on the route that leads north out of town. Our first trip will be at the Elephant Poo Poo Paper Park, where you can observe how elephant poo is turned into paper!! We can also stop at Chiang Mai's Tiger Kingdom site for individuals who want to enter into a cage with fully grown tigers. The journey will continue north, and we will stop at the breathtakingly spectacular Mok Fah Waterfall before the road begins to twist its way into the mountains. Most of the year the pool at the base of the waterfall is deep enough for a refreshing swim so bring your swimsuit! Before descending into the Pai River valley, the trip will continue up into the mountains. We'll cross the famous Pai iron bridge, which has become a popular photo destination. If you wish to take a few shots here, let our guide know and we'll come to a halt. In Pai town, we'll have lunch. In the afternoon, we'll visit Pai Canyon, a geological anomaly, and the quaint Mae Yen Temple, which offers spectacular views of Pai and the Pai River Valley. We will transport you to your accommodation after the temple. Take it easy for the rest of the late afternoon in Pai or go for a walk around this pleasant little town. The small main street comes alive in the evening with a market that attracts both visitors and locals; it's a fantastic place to get a bite to eat because there's a wide variety of restaurants and street dining options.

Day 3 - Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai

If you want to catch the Mae Hong Son morning market on the last day, be prepared to get up super early! On the final morning, you will get the opportunity to visit three of Mae Hong Son's most noteworthy temples before returning to Chiang Mai: Wat Doi Kong Mu (which offers wonderful views across Mae Hong Son and to the mountains beyond), Wat Jong Kham, and Wat Jong Klang. We can then take you to the airport for your flight back to Chiang Mai, or we can take you back by minibus. We'll take a break at Sai Ngam Hot Springs for those returning by car.
