You will get to engage in some challenging jungle hiking on this action-packed full-day trek from Chiang Mai, as well as spend time with some loving elephants at the elephant camp. Additionally, you enjoy bamboo rafting on the Win River!
TOUR DESCRIPTION
You should be prepared for an early start since we have a lot planned for this enjoyable day tour to the jungles east of Chiang Mai. The guide and driver team will pick you up from your hotel and take you an hour west of the city to the breathtaking Mae Wang area. On the way, we'll stop briefly at a local Thai market so you can pick up some morning coffee or other snacks. The elephant camp will be the first stop of the day; we will allow around two to three hoursand you may bathe the elephants, play with them in the mud or water, and just spend some quality time with content elephants. You can also offer the elephants their daily vitamin treats. After the activities with the elephants are over, it's time to try some bamboo rafting on the Win! You will spend 40–60 minutes floating through the forest and rural riverside life in this astoundingly attractive region. Since the rafts sit low in the water, you should be prepared by wearing a swimsuit or bring a change of clothes. You'll be hungry when the rafting is over and in order to prepare for the afternoon's hike, it will be time to have a filling lunch. You will get to stop at two waterfalls along the way, one of which is excellent for swimming most of the year. Be prepared with a swimsuit if you wish to cool down in the cold waters tumbling from the jungle waterfalls! On the trek you will experience both rice fields and jungle. You may expect returning to Chiang Mai by 6:00pm after the trek, which lasts around three hours.
