TOUR DESCRIPTION
On this day tour from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon, you'll see some of the park's most popular sights as well as venture off the beaten path for a two-hour hike around the Pa Dok Siew Nature Trail. We will depart from the city at 07:30 a.m. and travel to Doi Inthanon, Thailand's most famous national park. The road will begin to ascend towards Thailand's highest mountain as soon as you enter the park. Our first stop on the way up the mountain will be at Siritharn waterfall, followed by a drive farther up the mountain to the king and queen pagodas. The views across the park to the valley below are spectacular from these two landmark pagodas. The journey will then continue to the summit of the mountain, where you will be able to stand on Thailand's highest point and have your photo taken in front of the renowned highest mountain in Thailand sign. The wonderfully magnificent Angkha Nature Trail is also located at the summit of the mountain. It is a short 400-meter trek that will take you through some rare flora and forest that can only be viewed at this high level. We'll stop by the Hmong hill tribal market after climbing Thailand's highest peak and then have lunch. It will be time for our walk after lunch, which will take us deeper into the park and away from the popular tourist trail up the mountain. The walk will last approximately two hours and will take you along the lovely Pah Dok Siew Nature Trail, which will take you through rice paddies and forest and provide you with some rare park vistas that many visitors miss. It will be time to board the transport again for the drive back down the mountain; on the way down, we will stop at Wachiritharn, one of Inthanon's most stunning waterfalls, before returning to Chiang Mai.
