Wat Umong is a 700-year-old temple at the foot of Doi Pui mountain, secluded in the forested foothills of Doi Pui National Park. The temple is known for its underground tunnels and huge Chedi, as well as a field of shattered Buddha sculptures. The ideal time to visit this atmospheric temple is during the twilight hours. Following Wat Umong, the tour will proceed to Chiang Mai's most renowned temple, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. What to wear

You are touring in a hot climate wear comfortable cool attire. Shorts and t-shirt or similar clothing are good for this tour. Rain is possible at any time of the year but more likely during the rainy season months of May to October - bring a lightweight raincoat during these months. There are only short brief walks on this tour and sandal-type footwear is OK.

Dress for temple visits

On this tour, you will be visiting Buddhist temples. Respectful dress is always appreciated. For dress we suggest the following:
Please wear a shirt which covers the shoulders and reaches the waist (a t-shirt will be fine!) For leg wear, at least knee-length shorts or skirt should be worn
