Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of the most revered temples in the North which sits at the top of the mountain at the end of a twisting road. On this Chiang Mai tour, you'll ascend a 306-step stairway to the temple, this is the most rewarding method to reach the temple, but if you are less firm on your feet, there is also a funicular railway. The trip would be worthwhile even without visiting this beautiful temple because of the breathtaking vistas of Chiang Mai. You can see all of Chiang Mai and beyond from this elevated viewpoint. Following our visit to the temple, we'll go farther up the mountain to see a Hmong village.

What to wear

You are touring in a hot climate wear comfortable cool attire. Shorts and t-shirt or similar clothing are good for this tour. Rain is possible at any time of the year but more likely during the rainy season months of May to October - bring a lightweight raincoat during these months. There are only short brief walks on this tour and sandal-type footwear is OK.

Dress for temple visits

On this tour, you will be visiting Buddhist temples. Respectful dress is always appreciated. We suggest the following:
Please wear a shirt which covers the shoulders and reaches the waist (a t-shirt will be fine!) For leg wear, at least knee-length shorts or skirt should be worn.
